I have available to me a 1985 low mile good running 2.5. my current wrangler 2.5 runs pretty strong but it seems to have lifter noise along with maybe some low end engine noise. I am not fimilar with the different internals between the two years. I am wondering if it would be worth using the long block from the 85 with my 94 intake and exhaust. I have heard that the 85 2.5 has a low horsepower rating compared to the 94. any sugustions on what approch would be best? maybe just rebuilding the 94?
