Are they better than the stock type?
I was thinking of replacing mine with an AR, has anyone done this and if so where did you get it?
I see those pricey Griffin ones $400, but I also see those ones for $150 as well.
Are they direct bolt ins or is some mods needed?

I bought one of the cheap all aluminum radiators when I did my eFan conversion, and I am happy with mine. It was a direct bolt-in, and it cools better than the stocker. I ordered mine online from radiator barn, I think it was... It was on eBay as well (and I think eBay had a lower price than their site, so they gave me the lower price when i called); was something like $130 or $150... There's a post somewhere here on this site which has the line; do a search and you will find it. In my opinion, it was very well worth it (both the AR and the eFan).

i got a great looking one with welded tanks off ebay for $136 shipped - it has 2 cores and 1.75'' core thickness (stock one 1 core and 3/4''). I got it in 4 days after paying, it's direct bolt on and the brackets are also aluminized and it has trans cooler too (not my case). The main reason i got it is the core thickness and the welded tanks, mine doesn't leak but i can see it sipping around the tanks already so it will probably go soon. The seller's name was radiatordealz i believe

I got a cheapie w/ plastic tanks off ebay myself. Happened to be aluminum too. So far it has been trouble free but I only have about 750 miles on it so far. I don't think they work any better in our applications, but they are lighter.
