I just put a 4.0 throttle body on my Jeep and it has made my cone filter louder. You can really hear it sucking for air now when your moving down the road at various throttle postions. dose this kinda make sense?.

I used a cone filter for a few weeks until I found an airbox and it drove me nuts.

Just wait until you go into a tunnel

I liked the sound of it though, made it sound more beefy

I don't hear mine anymore. Maybe it's the tires. But I'll take more power/mileage over a little intake noise.

ah cool, I was trying to find a way to adapt a TJ air filter box to give me that little more protection from water, but stoped because i thought it was a little silly. I don't know the noise isn't really that bad, maybe I'm used to it now though
