I have a 97 TJ with automatic and 2.5. I am in the process of installing a 4" rough country suspension lift. I have 31x10.50 tires on it now but I want to get bigger tires for it when I am done with the lift. I don't know if 35"s will be to big for it as I have the stock axels in it still. Any help here would be greatly appreciated thanks.

If you're willing to take a perfromance hit then you can go with 32's or 33's. If not then stick with 31's. Don't even bother with 35's. Not only is 4" a bit short but stock gearing will take a serious hit.

Jeffy how much of a performance difference will there between a 31 or 32. I have to make a choice this weekend between the maxis bravo 31X10.50 and the maxxis buckshot 32X11.50. I would like to have the 32's but would like to know what kind of power loss to expect and how much the mpg will drop with the 32's over the 31's. I have one of each in my garage right now and the look of the 32 on there looks great. The jeep is my daily driver all flat land (go figure, central Illinois) I get off road occasionally but nothing heavey duty.
