So i just put in my new 4.0tb and its revved to 6k before i changed the ais housing over, so i changed it over and now its idleing at 3500 to 4k, i reset the computer and swapped everything, WHAT THE F IS WRONG!!!! :brick:

so the 4 bolts that hold on the throttle body were loose so i tightened them, then it idled about 1500, so i took out the ais motor and cleaned the plunger, now it idles about 1400 and it has a really loud whistling sound :brick: :brick: :brick:

I think there is a "waiting time" involved so the computer can reprogram itself. For what i have read you have to drive a few miles so that the computer can re-learn all the data.
Check the FAQ, Jeffy wrote a write up about this subject:

Well there was a crack in the body itself from something that wasnt letting me tighten the ais housing, so i just hit it with a hammer until it was back to normal and now it works

Well.... "if you can't fix it...you need a bigger hammer"
Glad you worked it out.
