Post by: lqdtrance on October 02, 2009, 06:13:49 PM
Will an '85 rear drive shaft work for a 93YJ? what is the length of driveshaft needed for a 93 YJ w/ a 4" lift?

Dana 300 was a fixed yoke on the 85, NP231 was a slip yoke on the 93. Won't work even if the length is OK.

You should be able to reuse the stock driveshaft if you installed a transfer case drop with the lift kit.  Many jeeps vary so it's best to measure your application to get the correct driveshaft length.  I've got a ton of Wrangler driveshafts if you know the length you need.
