Anyone ever hear/do an install of a factory type temperature sensor (ambient air, etc.) from another type of vehicle? Doesn't matter what it came from, just that it was installed into a TJ, YJ, etc.
adding guages and such. Want to plan it all out so I'm not cutting and recutting holes in my dash, and I can plot it out before doing it.
Would like to see whats out there...

Quadratec or 4WD sell one thats built in to the mirror but its not cheap if i recall and I believe it includes all the wiring
EDIT:
Here's the link http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?jeep-sid=478&plID=0&partID=6092 (http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?jeep-sid=478&plID=0&partID=6092) It also has the auto dimming and reading lights but the downside is its 248 bucks :yikes: I dont know what all would be involved in pulling one out of a junkyard to get it wired up
