Title: power steering box

I think mine is going. It is hard to turn then normal at different times. was thinking of jacking her off ground and see if it still does it. what are symptoms, upgrades, is the psc unit good replacement or  stock durango

First check your fluid to see if its burnt.  My power steering behaved like yours when I got it and it was a bad pump, not the steering box.

Jeez...gonna have to get a diagnosis...hope someone at toys for tots run tomorrow has some insight. Moneys tight and dont wanna replace one and have it be another

I am not sure what all your symtoms are, however I just ended up having the input shaft replaced.  My Jeep felt stiff at certain points and I thought it was the box.  The person who replaced it found that the u joints on the input shaft were binding.  Look into it.  It is a heck of a lot cheaper then the box, and may be the real problem.
