Title: Windin' her up!
Post by: Castr8r on November 29, 2009, 06:50:40 PM
Well, I've been running this 4 banger for about five years now and I'm still learning things about it.  I went "muddin'" yesterday, and that thing can sing a hot tune when my foot is in the throttle body!   :weee:  Since I was otherwise occupied at the time, I didn't  check the tach whilst enjoying the music.  This brings me to the question: does the 2.5 have a rev limiter in the TBI version?  Or do you just wind it 'til it can't suck any more air?  Just wonderin".

im am unsure if it does or not.. i haven't found it yet....I usually just smash the pedal let r buck when i get in the deep stuff without worrying about rev limiting...

When the engine starts knocking, then you'll know it's done.

I wouldn't trust a rev. limiter to save you from stupid anyway.

my 93 has one, use it alot.  if the squirrels quit spinning the cage, another set of squirrels is only 4-8 hundred.    :hitit:
