Hey guys. My alternator died today (Christmas Day for the win) and I've been looking up replacement 90A alternators online. I was thinking that if I am going to replace it I might as well upgrade if I can. Weren't there some higher-output alternators used in Dodge trucks that will work?

FAQ now! :rtfm:

Hah, sorry about that! I found it. Thanks!

i think i got a GC 136 amp (if i remember right) about 3 or 4 yrs ago for $35 or around that at a junkyard - seems to be fairly common as the guy had quite a few. Wanted to get a 170 (i think it was stock in some truck, can't remember which one) but he had none of those and i went with this one instead.

Thanks guys. Because of the current situation I just went for a 90A OEM alternator for now, with the idea that I would upgrade later. Of course, that didn't fix the problem. See my other thread.
