Which injectors can i swap my 97 2.5L injectors with?
I hear that all 97-01 XJ's & 97-02 TJ's have the same injectors regardless of it being a 2.5L or a 4.0L...IS THIS TRUE?
so i can just go on and find a junked 4.0L 97-01 XJ and just pull 4 out and use them...is this correct?

I swapped out my stock single hole injectors for the orange colored Ford Racing injectors part # 0 280 156 013. I think they are made by Bosch. These injectors have 4 holes for better atomization and provide the same lbs of injection as the stock. They were easy to install, no adapters needed, plugged right in. I have noticed a little better throttle response and about 2 to 3 miles per gallon better gas mileage. I think (key word "think") they also helped lower my exhaust temp due to my headers not discoloring faster than others in the past, which of course eventually leads to cracking. When I swapped the new ones in, I also put in new up and down stream oxygen sensors and a stage 2 Jet chip (all in the same day) on top of the other past mods I have already done. Either way I am getting better atomization and in turn mileage. Bottom line these injectors are safe to use with no fuss.

I am by no means doing this for performance. Im just trying to fix a leaky injector issue but id like to replace all 4 at once.
Of course if the upgrade is not a whole lot pricier ill go for that but a set of used fomoco 24lb-ers is in the $100 range meanwhile im sure i can get ahold of xj injectors for less than half of that

Give the folks below a call. He is a master injector guy and can get you exactly what you want.

read the faq (the link Jeffy posted), is not that simple - it varies with the fuel pressure and you can buy 24lb/hr injectors but they can have a totally different flow on your Jeep depending on the pressure they are rated at - you could end up with a whole new set of problems. there are some that work i believe for TJ, not sure which ones though, there were some threads about that

HOLY :crap: thats confusing. They can have this kind of question on the SAT's or GRE's in the logical reasoning section! :puzzled:
I've just re-read that FAQ sheet close to 10 times over...now my head is spinning and the only conclusion that I have is :
ALL WRANGLERS 1997-2002 use the same injectors as the 1996-1998 Cherokee XJ 4.0L.
Am I right?
