Title: Difference between 88' YJ and 91'-95' YJ?

Hey, new to the boards.
I have a 88' YJ 4cyl 5spd, i cant seem to find very many parts, ive looked through 4wd.com and quadratec and they seem to only have the 91-95 yj parts.  I was looking for a air intake, and after reading the forums i was interested in a 4.0 TB ( i couldnt find a cheap one like you guys mentioned ) but all of these parts are for the 91-95 yj.  So my question is, can these parts just not fit on my 88' yj or what is the main difference between the two?
