I have a 1991 Jeep wrangler S I4 2.5 L. It is currently having part-time problems starting. When I get in it and try to to start it, it turns over and trys to start then it putters out and I have to do it over and over until it start. It doesn't always do it, but it is getting to where every 2-3 days it will have this problem. Do yall have Any Idea as to what is causing this to happen? Thanks for any help.

1991 should mean it's OBDI which mean you can recover CEL codes. I'd try that first.

top 3 in the order of likeliness imo:
could be that you're losing fuel pressure overnight (fuel pump check valve or fuel pressure return valve)
can also be your PCM (computer) temp sensor acting up
or some issues with your ignition (check spark plugs, wires, dist cap and rotor)

THanks for the help, but I found the problem because my starter went out today.
