This is a great idea....I would consider these if I hadn't already gone with steel two years ago...look great IMHO.

I saw picts of these a few weeks back when they were super secret.  I wonder how well they hold their form at highway speeds.  They don't look too thick and there doesn't seem to be any strengthing to them other then the trimmed fender.

Actually, there probably isn't enough drag on them to bend.

I like how the thread ends with Moz getting dissed on page 3.

why wouldn't they fit on a YJ? - i think they'll fit just fine, most likely the vertical trim line needs to be back a bit more (towards the door so you'll need to cut the hole length not just at the top.

I'm tempted to order a set and see if I can get them to work with my CJ fenders.

not sure about the radius on the edge - if it's the same with the YJ should prolly work but for some reason i think that is not as sharp as the yj/tj fenders so that might not fit. also, not sure how far out from the edge of the front grill or the front of the hood is the edge of the fender, you should compare that with a TJ, if the top of the fender is wider the edge of these might not be covered by the hood (i think the hood width is narrower in front compared to a TJ or YJ)

I'm sure the guy will eventually have YJ and CJ versions.  Might want to email them.

There is another issue.  YJ's use two holes for the hood latch.  TJ's have one and two alignment holes.  Personally, I'd rather have TJ style as they are easier to latch.

Just got this back from them, guess I'll wait a bit.

Hi JJ,

Thanks for your interest!  We do have plans to make these for the CJs.  :)   I am not sure yet on an ETA, but these are very high on the list!

thanks again,

Mike

I got something along those lines too, but for YJ.

you could probably ask for a set w/o the holes for the latches, but you're right it is different - didn't think of that.

I'd rather have steel fenders with 3" flares.

Maybe a plastic hood with built in fenders.  http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=693322

The problems with those is, all the stuff that is attached to the inner fender needs to be moved somewhere. Not impossible but a pain.
I do kinda like the look of those thou.

I don't think those are injection molded plastic.  Without any fenders you'll need to run hood clips to keep the hood from lifting off.  They weren't designed to be used on the highways so it will probably shake.

Where did you get that from? Not saying they won't but they say several times they made them for their street driven rigs.

Seen them on a few rock buggies.  I guess they're OK for street but you'll still need to run hood clips.  I still remember seeing the clear polycarbonate hood as well.

Just got an email saying the YJ fenders will start shipping soon.

No PICS yet.

I would be all over these but I am running steel tube fenders. The MCE ones are made for stock fenders  :'(

So did anyone order a set and try them out yet?

My problem is that my suspension is stock and I have 31's and I dont know how it will look with flat fenders.  What do you guys think?  I can get the XRC (smittybuilt) tube fenders from summit racing for like $260 and these are only $100 less.  But first I would like to know what they would look like, so if you have any pics of a stock Jeep w/31's and tube fenders that would be awesome.
