Title: toyota straight axles- will they work on a 91 yj 2.5?
Post by: countryboy15 on February 22, 2010, 05:43:59 AM
The reason I ask is I found a pair for $100 each off of craigslist.com. I am wondering if these would work on a jeep to replace the dana 35 on my jeep. The guy selling them believes they are already 4.10 geared ,because they came off of a manual toyota 4 runner.

THis is what he told me when I emailed him about these axles.

I picked em up for a pair of back up axles.  They were on a 4 runner till bout a year ago till the guy rolled it.  I believe it has 4/10 gearing cus the truck was equiped wit a standard.   What points u want measured rotor to rotor?

I had asked him these questions
Quote
whats the width?
what type of condition are they in?
What is the gearing?
Will you please send some pictures?
 OFFER=$100 ea. possibly

You need to find out what year they came off of.

The front is passanger drop so unless you swap T-cases it won't work.
