Title: 95 YJ Clutch Problems....
Post by: 4BangN on February 27, 2010, 10:02:37 PM
So I'm driving to dinner tonight. And as I go to pull into the parking lot I push in the clutch and take it out of gear.. As I pushed in the clutch I realized that there wasn't any pressure on the peddle. So I stroll into a parking spot and pop the hood. I don't see any fluid leaking anywhere. so I get under the Jeep and look for the clutch fork and it is built into the bell housing so I can't see anything.

I check the reservoir and I am full of fluid. I check the peddle and there is a small leak at the peddle. So I'm thinking maybe the master cylinder is shot or my pressure plate fell apart.

Any ideas  :puzzled:

Odd, the 95 should be an external slave on the driver side.

Usually I replace them as a set. My 94 has the original units, 235K Miles.... :)

yep should be external slave, and it very well could be the clutch master cyl.  I've had to replace both on my 95...

I am hoping I can figure this out rather quickly..  But we will have to wait and see how things work out.  I won't know anything until I get the jeep moved on monday.  And then maybe by thursday I can have it figured out.

Thanks for all the help so far.
