Title: running wire
Post by: enginethatcould on April 25, 2010, 03:48:08 PM
Where are you guys running wires through the firewall? I need to snake a couple of things from the engine bay into thebut want to cab. I was going to drill a hole and use a grommet, but wanted to see if there is a spot I could squeeze it through.

TIA

on my 1990 there is a unused hole with rubber plug above where all the wires go through the firewall to get to the under dash fuse box thing on the drivers side. i made a hole in the rubber plug and ran wires through there for a few things.. not shure if that extra hole exists on the mpfi  jeeps.

On a YJ, I drilled a hole thought the big grommet in the firewall above the throttle.

I drill a big hole in the fire wall and use glad hand transport air connector seals I got from my dad's shop.

found this pic 6601 are the ones I use they work great!!

or you can run them thru the existing grommets located somewhere around the brake booster - if it's a wire or 2, otherwise better to use a new hole and grommet like they^ said
