Title: Exhaust and Intake valves
Post by: bammerman on June 22, 2010, 01:28:00 PM
I did a price check on NAPA and at whole sale, buddy has a corp account, they are 13.00 for the exhaust and 10 for the Intake.  Anyone know of any other places that I can get the cheaper?  I figured I would just go with an OEM set.

you buy genuine parts (new old stock) and not knockoffs or second hands, then you can trust them.

when rebuilt my head i went through a local machine shop, if your pulling your head you should realy get everything done (planing, guids, seals, and seats) its worth it in the long run you only will have to pull it off once.

i would agree to just take it to a machine shop and let them order the valves and do the work.  i can seat valves and most minor head work but i still had mine done at a machine shop,  just because it wasnt too much money and i like that all the work was done by one person who does it frequently.

Most of the valve components are very re-usable but ALWAYS change the springs.
