On my automatic trannie I have 2 mounts...one under the trannie and another on the driverside which is round and has 2 bushings along with 4 big round body washers...When I took the Transfer case out this mount seemed to be doing absolutely nothing...it is bent at the bottom and was loose.I was able to push it up and down about a 1/4 inch...I would like to replace it since it is so boogered and didn't seem to be installed correctly.I don't know the proper placement, can someone please post up a pic of one that is installed correctly....My trannie mount is split so I am going to replace it also...should I go poly or stay with the rubber....Thanks Joey

The second mount is there to keep rotational torque in check, has been omited on TJ's

So it's ok to put this bent up clunker into the old parts bin for future use as a paperweight?

the mount on TJs is different, i wouldn't skip the torque one but i can't tell you for sure how bad would be with yours

I am gonna stay on the safe side and clean it up and put it back on...with the leak I had it is nice and lubed up lol.The rubber is in good shape, the bottom of the stud is a bit bent were I bottomed out :yikes: but it isn't unuseable...It was put there for a reason buy guys on a bigger pay scale than me so it stays lol....thanks Joey

I found that if you use washers to shim the rubber bits you can take all the slack out of it, it really gets rid of shudder when trying to launch on a hill.
