Title: 94 YJ skid plate bolt size
Post by: oldjeep on September 18, 2010, 04:07:54 PM
Anyone know what size bolts are used to hold the skidplate onto a 94 YJ?  Thought they were 1/2" fine thread, but they seem to be a little smaller than that.  Some sort of metric bolt?  If I had any I would just take one in to the store, but I took them out years ago and have no idea where I p[ut them.

Most of the bolts are metric on my YJ...  I'll see if I can measure them up for you.

Probabally a 12mm which is just a hair under 1/2".   I'll have to swing by a hardware store and pick one up to check for sure.  Seems like the 94-95 YJ's have a lot more metric fasteners than the older ones do.

For what it is worth they wound up being plain old 1/2 coarse thread bolts
