Title: roll up window seals
Post by: bumati on September 23, 2010, 04:02:11 PM
Okay.  Needed new seal and wipers on the yj. Is there a graceful way to put this back together?

Qtec, 4WDH, or just about any other place should have them.  Beware, tey get expensive once you start replacing ALL the door seals.

I have the seals.   Just need to know how it all goes back together. Or does it?

Which seals are you replacing?  The one around the widows or the door seals?  The door seals are easy.  The window seals will involve a bit more work.  I forget if the glass needs to come out though.  The FSM isn't that helpful really.  It looks like you can lower the window then pull the seal out though.  If not then you'll want to remove the glass.

you can push it down but will be hard to do, better to take the lever out so you can play with the angle a bit and loosen the adjusting nuts or bolts (can't remember) and i think you get away without taking the window out (if you take it out you also have to remove the weather strips in the window opening or you risk of pinching them)
