Not the greatest of deals. Although the Tabor is a good choice.

Ya the list prices are too high, 8274-50 for 2300 smacks,1100 refurb,no thanks.I would buy new for 1500.
I have seen that Tabor sell new for around 600,I didn't read on the warranty stuff but that would be a good deal.

Tabor's usually have a 1 year warranty.
Honestly, the 8274's overpriced. I'd rather buy a used one for $400-800 then a new one. They are typically lightly used but look bad cosmetically. Seems someone is always selling them on CL.

I am always scouting CL,usually whenever there is one on my local CL (southern Illinois)I dont have the extra cash.I figure it will work out one day though

Where you at in S. IL? I'm near Waterloo. 8274 is easy to rebuild and parts are readily available. Picked mine up for $100 off an old truck, had my eye on it for a long time and made the owner an offer before everything went to auction.

Cool you aren't too far from me. Check out www.sija.org/forums and watch for a Shawnee NF run next spring.

Thanks for the info, that's awesome. I don't mind refurb, hell... my jeep was stock from a used car dealer and about 75% of my upgrade parts are off craigslist.

I paid less for my 9.5ti new than their refurb price, got mine from Sam's off road.
