Occasionally I'll get a klunk after I shift. Is this because of my lunch box lockers?

If you're rolling back a little when you stop and you accelerate you'll get a clunk from your locker as it will need to rotate 1/8 turn before it locks up.

Manual. It does it while driving sometimes as well though, especially if I'm laying on it a bit.
-
You sure that's not the locker locking?

if I understand the behavior correctly i'd say it's transmission mount (if YJ could also be the torque mount on the transmission) or one of the engine mounts. Can also be one of the suspension arms (or leaf spring bushings if YJ) gone bad

Honestly think its the lockers, but I'll look into the other areas to check.

Mine is a manual, and I had a nasty clunk, broken engine mount for me.
BTW, if you put a Dodge Neon in park at 40 mph, the wheels will stop before the car does. Thought it could be useful if you ever in a panic or just driving around a rental. :naughty:
