Title: window heat

have no heat out of window vent ,other than the two upper dash vent  when i slide the control over ,same thing in summer ,i hear it blowing and like i said the dash upper vents work fine any ideas ,its a 97 with no a/c

not sure about 97 tj's if there vacuum or cable design

the yj's were famous for the cable seizing or falling off somewhere

i think they're vac actuated but don't bet on it.

They are vac actuated on TJ's, and the little plastic levers are notorious for breaking my dad has replaced his twice. I do not believe you can buy just the levers from the dealership either.

+1.  They seem to be a real problem with the TJ's.
