hummm is this like a pre-bankrupt ??

It's tough to be a small business owner in this current market. Could have been sold or it may jsut go under. I know a lot of small 4x4 mfg.s have closed in the past few years.

Let's see what happens. They sold good stuff.

Looks like they are filing for bankruptcy. Another company seems to be acquiring them. Someone said they are sheding their XJ line up. I wouldn't be surprised if they do away with the YJ stuff too.

any idea who is acquiring them?

No word on that. Although I did hear that the Mopar contract hurt them.
-
How did it hurt them? Unable to deliver on time, fines, something like that?

Not making much on the deal.

The after-market parts operators in the US probably also tend to want to have their products Made in the US, also. Rubicon Express is probably getting advised: "look, just do a Chapter 11 and send the designs to a Chinese manufacturer for production."

Pretty sad to see them go. Most of the local Jeeps here with non-custom suspensions got them from RE, they had good products.
