Title: Heater core replacement

I own a 97 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L. The heater core has started to leak. I put some stop leak in the coolant and it has stopped leaking for now. I was wondering if anyone has changed one out and if so, was it difficult? I have read where some say that you have to take out the steering wheel, the dash, the dash frame, and even take out the entire air box just to get to the heater core. Is all this really necessary or is there a better way? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I haven't done a TJ but I figure you'll need to take off all of the plastic to get to the heater core.  It's always a PITA to do on modern vehicles.  Lots of plastic.  You'll probably want to have a FSM so you can keep track of everything.

You might also want to flush you coolant after using that stop leak sludge.
