A few years ago I read that putting the wrong coolant in the radiator of a '95 YJ could cause corrosion and problems with seals and gaskets.  Based on what I read at that time, it seemed that the safest thing to put in was Zerex Gold, which I can't find here in Mexico.  Right now, it is hard for me to go to the US due to how dangerous the highway from Monterrey to McAllen has become. 
So the question is:  What other coolants work well for a '95 YJ?

IIRC, there are three general types of coolant.  The ethylene glycol-based is the green stuff.  Dexcool is the extended life with corrosion resistance and is orange.  Imports use a red coolant.

I would stick with the green ethylene glycol-based coolant.  The Dexcool is known to eat some gaskets.  Never heard of an issue with red but I think it too is ethylene glycol-based.

The freeze plugs on my TJ were pitted so bad that there were tiny pin holes in them that could only be seen with magnification or light behind them.
I believe it's had the green stuff in it for all 144K miles but that doesn't mean the green stuff is bad it's just a fact that the coolant will cause corrosion over time.

That's because you need to make sure the coolant is at the right ratio.  If there is too much water you'll get rust.  If there is too much coolant, it won't cool properly.

use destilled water instead of tap water.
