Cost and a limited market.  History says it won't be a bit hit.  Compare CJ-6 sales to the CJ-5.  Or the CJ-8 to the CJ-7.  They are very low numbers.  Not to mention they don't want to move into Dodges truck territory.

I think they should come up with something like the Ford Falcon from the 60's. The Falcon could be bought in a 2 door, 4 door (I think), wagon, and pick up. They could save a ton by using the same front end thru the whole line.
