1991 2.5L Wrangler: We have completely rebuilt the engine, new pistons, valve job, new cam, water pump, added a throttle body spacer, new coil and plug wires. After putting it back together, it will not start. We have also replaced the fuel pump, and CPS. The timing is correct, we were 180 out and fixed that but still nothing. The ASD relay checks ok on the ohm meter.
Anybody have any good ideas??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Any codes being thrown up?
-
12 & 33
-
In my Haynes repair manual, a code 12 says the battery power to the PCM is disconnected, and a code 33 says the A/C clutch relay is havin a problem. I could only find code 12 listed under 1997 and later models though.

we have the haynes manual as well and dont know what it means the jeep doesnt have AC thanks for looking
-
It means it does not read a signal from the A/C relay because it's not there. It's 100% normal.
-
Doesn't the 33 code come up all the time (if you don't have A/C)?
I know it does for me, and I just ignore it.
And I'm guessing here, but if the battery has died, or been disconnected, it'll throw that 12 code.
All this doesn't help you, does it? Because the answers I just gave you makes it sound like nothing's wrong.

ok it runs now. we took it for a test drive and it feels like it has no power. it burps and farts when you give it gas any ideas?

I think your fuel injectors might be clogged up or crud in your fuel lines. I'd try addin some fuel system cleaner stuff and see if that helps any.
-
I'd probably check the fuel filter. Especially if it's original.

just replaced that and the fuel pump
