By the Faq's I seem to have at least a 44. Will now need to look much closer and see if the tag is still there. Know the rear is missing.

i think you mean axles, the diffs would be locked/open, or by brand (stock, arb, ox, eaton, auburn, etc)
i have D30/D35
most guys here would run an 8.8 or D44 in the rear and the D30 up front
-
Ok Axle and by the FAQ on it and my bolt patter my front one seems to be a 44. Thought it should have been a 30 or 35.

you're right, stock YJ axles were D30 front D35 rear unless someone upgraded them (maybe previous owner). I don't think any of the YJs came with D44s, the Rubicon TJ had D44 centers but the tubes were same size as D30/D35 and the wheel bolt pattern was the same 5x4.5 (edit: and they had air lockers from the factory)

Its a 94 YJ as was said. Was the second owner but I bought it in 94 with under 10,000 on it. Was owned by a gal and sure she did nothing to it.
Will look in a few for the tag.

Should be D30/D35 with 4.10's The rear should have a rubber fill plug cap on the diff cover.
-
Its a 30 just had to look better. But the tag really didn't say what it was. Yep year had a rubber plug. Needed to know so I could get the new gaskets.

None of the YJ's came with a D44 front as already stated. The D44's don't have a central disconnect on the passenger side of the axle housing. They have a one piece inner axle. The YJ's and some XJ's had a 2 piece inner axle with the motor assembly.

I'm curious where you saw this in the FAQ?

There's a Waggy D44 with vacuum disconnect...
Oh, and I run Super D35 and Super D30 with ARB on both ends (of course, after the last trail run, I killed the ARB compressor, so now I have open diffs until I fix it!)
