Hello all, I originally joined here back in 2008, started rebuilding my jeep, met a girl, moved across the country for her along with starting a new job, than we moved 4 more times had a few kids and now that we are finally settled in and I almost have my shop done, I am ready to dig the Jeep out of the back barn and get started on it again.

I'll create a build thread for it later, but when I started rebuilding it, Ian Johnson came out with his YJ shop truck before Jeep started building the Gladiator

I have always liked the half top on my jeep and really liked the idea of having a bed on it to use it for working out of when we eventually got land, so that kinda became my inspiration for the build.  So as of right now I got the half hard top from Gr8Tops, cut the body in half, and have started welding the cab up and thats about it.

Hello all, My name is Bob.  I'm from the Indianapolis area and have a '91 Wrangler with a 2.5L, 4" Skyjacker Softride Lift, 35" MTR, Flowmaster exhaust, CAI, Dana 44 Rear and some other odds and ends that has about 120,000 miles.  I have been off roading for about 8 years around but have not had much of a chance lately.  I also bought a new GMC Sierra and the jeep got pushed to the back burner for awhile and didnt have the money and the motor kinda went to crap, so now I have the money to start getting things fixed that need them including the wiring nightmare those wonderful mice left for me this past winter.  Look forward to talkin with you all, Bob

The Mess Hall / Re: Oil pressure sensor for the dashboard (name?)

Hi, guys.  Have not posted here in a LOOOOOOOOONG time!  But I still have the Jeep!

Anyway, anyone remember what the sensor for the oil pressure gauge is named?  Not the one that sends to the ECU, but the one that sends the pressure to the dash.

Felipe

Great to see a post from you.

I changed that sender once and it failed in just a few months.  I decided to just leave it that way.  It shows a pressure, not anything correct. But as long as there is pressure, it should be fine.

It is a pain to get to, but if you are going to replace check your wiring and have a plan to replace the wire. I would clean the area around it and change when doing an oil change.

1990 Wrangler 2.5 TBI 5MT

Hello all,

My father and I have been in the weeds on and off for six months diagnosing his YJ we bought from a relative.

Curiously, the emissions sticker under the hood says it's certified for under 4000 feet. I can't find any info on it, other than the high altitude CPS, which we installed.
Living in Utah at 4900 feet in a county that requires emissions, it's been a problem.
I've played around with Arduinos reading data from the ECU, but I'm not much of a programmer, so I bought a Snap-On MT2500 scanner and have been using that.
I can read sensor data, but I don't think the troubleshooting cartridge works.
I'm willing to share whatever info I can if anyone is interested.
