1990 Wrangler 2.5 TBI 5MT

Hello all,

My father and I have been in the weeds on and off for six months diagnosing his YJ we bought from a relative.

Curiously, the emissions sticker under the hood says it's certified for under 4000 feet. I can't find any info on it, other than the high altitude CPS, which we installed.
Living in Utah at 4900 feet in a county that requires emissions, it's been a problem.
I've played around with Arduinos reading data from the ECU, but I'm not much of a programmer, so I bought a Snap-On MT2500 scanner and have been using that.
I can read sensor data, but I don't think the troubleshooting cartridge works.
I'm willing to share whatever info I can if anyone is interested.

I already solved the problem, but I wanted the fix to be documented here.

You have to make sure there is no preload tension on the rods that open the latch.  That's it.  Just pull them off and put them back on.  They will probably shift over one thread.

They are now in the YJ.  They install the same as stock, but they don't have the wires for the buzzer.  I don't miss it.

Yea, it's a grocery getter, not a rock climber.
My 5th short wheel base JEEP. Still building my 6th. (YJ RatRod)
BTW, my other half has a '17 RENEGADE LIMITED 2WD 2.4 TigerShark 36K She enjoys it.

The only problem with those is that they're not exactly the same. Although if they replace the latch then they might also be different.  From what I understand rebuilding them is a lot cheaper.

There is a company that will rebuild OE belts.  I forget the name of the company though.  Shouldn't be hard to find though.

Haven't posted in quite a while. I hope everybody is doing great.

Have been having trouble with the front seat belts in the YJ.  They sometimes get stuck when being pulled out and often don't retract fully. They are 29 years old after all. 

Does anybody know of a good replacement so that they are as much like stock as possible?   In particular, are there any that will keep the part that is bolted to the floor raised next to seat like the stock setup?
