Engine Mount braket
« on: October 02, 2011, 08:05:15 PM »
Any one ever brake an engine mount bracket - not the motor mount but the cast aluminum bracket that bolts to the engine and then to the motor mount? I did this weekend and need a used one, called a few u pulled places and they do not have any YJ in their yards, napa, advanced etc etc do not carry them. I did see browndog makes them but for $185 a pair i thought i would ask my good friends here first.

For a fab'd one? I can get a browndog set for $185 i think, so anything close to that or cheaper.
The way I was looking at it is if a 4banger.com member can make some money fab'd one up I would rather buy it from them then a bigger company if the product they want to make is as strong.
If its not worth the time I can buy the browndog set - but I want to get it purchased this week if possible.

I asking around here locally to, to see what the smaller local boys can do.

I took the racket off last night and after looking at it for a while I decided to purchase the browndogindustries mounts. Im scared that if I put on some used ones they may break again - so I'm upgrading.
here is the broken bracket if you are curious

and here is a link to what I am getting from Browndog

Thanks sharpxmen for offering the mount also. I really do appreciate the offer.

those look real solid, you won't break this one for sure.
