Question on brakes

So my 31s are on and I'm loving them.  I have zero rub.  However now when I brake it "feels" different on my foot.  Its hard to explain the feeling but it only happens at the very last second when coming to a complete stop.  I know its going to sound weird but it almost feels like I'm feeling the tread.  Like a slight washboard feeling on my foot right before full stop.

Is this normal for my tires? BFG M/T

  You have anit lock brakes.

Its not that. Mine doesn't have anti locks(all the area for those fuses are empty). Maybe the LE didn't come with them?

When you are braking, take you foot off right when you start to feel it. See if you still feel it with no brake at that speed. Maybe just the tread grumbling, or a warp rotor/disc.

i have 33x12.5 BFG M/Ts and don't feel anything under braking. How much is left on the pads or shoes? By any chance you moved the rotors or drums (rotate them so they went on different holes)? if you did it might have runout due to rust on the backside on the hub

I took my Jeep to the mechanic today and he said everything looks good. My pads are good, my rotors are good and all the lines are good. He said I am "feeling the tread".   I didn't even know that was possible.

did he put a dial indicator on the rotors? should be max .002 runout

Ok now I'm worried again.

I dropped it off at firestone this morning and picked it up after lunch.  I have no idea what he did.  I figured they were going to try and sell me a bunch of crap but they didn't so I was happy.

He did say he felt it also and that its just the aggressive tread pattern.

It is a very very very very light feeling on my foot right before complete stop.

if it's barely noticeable i'd say live with it. i have the same tires but bigger and don't feel anything, maybe my feet are not as sensitive as yours :D

I feel my Goodyear MT/R's fairly noticably at low speed. Probably doesn't help that I haven't rotated them since I bought the Jeep.  :wall:

I do drive in flip flops or barefoot 99% of the time...
