Some good info there.  Thanks for posting that.  In my case the battery shows 12.28 volts, so it seems to be fully charged.  But then as soon as a small load is placed on it, it drops to 10.3 volts.  I'd like to take it to the store (it's a business that specializes in batteries of all types) and have them test it.  I'll post what they say.

Finally got the Yellow Top Optima tested.  It was at full voltage but could only supply 28 CCA (out of the 750 CCA it should have).

that's pretty bad, if i were you i would write optima corporate an email, you never know. After 4 years to turn dead like that is no different than a cheap $50 or so battery.
