Sputtering on take off

I'm having a really strange problem, when I'm at a stop and give it gas it will sputter like its out of gas then after a few seconds of adjusting gas/clutch it will drive just fine. It doesnt sputter if I rev the engine with the clutch in or in Neutral. Only when I try to move from a stop. It doesnt even do if it is a rolling stop. Any ideas? The only things i can think of is the fuel pump,TB,injector,Fuel filter.

Oh almost forgot, would the IAC cause this? The reason i ask is because I noticed the screw that is pressing against the throttle plate looks like a regular screw that the PO just stuck on there. So my guess is the IAC isnt working and the screw is acting as an manual idle stop. Thanks

I just got mine used a month ago, so I had mine gone over by a mechanic I have always trusted.  He has a lifted 4runner and is heavy into crawling, so I figured he was perfect for the task.  I asked him to check my trans and diffs levels and give it the once over.  He said he felt better just changing the fluids out after he took off the inspection plates.

Since that day I noticed the same indication first thing in the morning.  Must have gone with a higher viscos oil because when I pull out of my drive it will sputter and will continue at any stop till things get heated up a bit.  Not really worried about it since summer is approaching, but it did change my ease of shifting.  Next time I'll change it myself.  He is still the only honest mechanic around me that I know of.

I doubt it is your answer, but thought I'd throw it out there.  Since you had received no suggestions from anyone I thought I'd bump it back up for you.

yay the problem is fixed. When i changed my exhaust manifold, the problem went away. I doubt my exhaust was even bad, one bolt was missing and the rest were torqued to like 5 lbs
