Back on the Forum!
« on: February 08, 2015, 09:34:18 AM »
Hello everybody, It's been a wile since I've been on the forum, But I'm back and wanted to hello. A quick re introduction, My names Justin, I live on Long Island NY. My jeeps are a 91 YJ and a 1953 Willys Pickup. Since the last time I was on the forum, I've done the CJ7 front end swap, and installed a electric fan out of a Volvo S70 with a thermo-switch. I'm going to write up my wiring for the fan, it's a mix between a few setups I read about online and some modification I added myself. Works flawlessly now for the past 8 months. The Willys is a project that is in a planning stage, but still the best $100 I ever spent! I look forward to being back on here! Cheers! Justin

welcome back. I realy like the volvo 2 speed fan controller. works pretty slick and doesn't blow out like the hydan units seem to. we are running them on 2 willys jeeps.

Likewise on the controller. It was what Volvo used with THERE fan, So works for me! I ended up running a thermo-switch with a homemade T mount out of stainless pipe cut into the upper rad hose running to the low setting, also wired in a manual Hi setting, and a kill switch with a indicator light in the cab. all relayed and fused with a DPDT on/off/on switch. Did this when I did the CJ front end instead of dealing with the stock fan shroud. Love the willys, my cousin has my late uncles '42 MB..wish he'd do something with it, right now its sitting in a shed in VT
