About 2 months ago I bought a 92 yj in Louisiana.  I drove the 12 hrs to Orlando Fl when I moved here.  The 2.5 is dependable and always starts up, but is a dog on the highway.  I have to stand on the accelerator to get above 65 mph.  I changed air the air filter system and bought a performance chip (I think I wasted 20$ on that thing) I also put a 2 inch lift on it to get it off the ground.  I just bought a 96 cherokee for a daily driver so I would have the time to rehab the yj.  Any suggestions for juicing the engine (and in what order) would be greatly appreciated.  Oh yeah I also have the throttle body spacer being shipped to me right now.

if you want to drive a jeep with balls swap in a 350.... 4 cylinder suck on the street if you are trying to drive over 50 mph.... there is no replacement for displacement.... not even gears...

When you get that TB spacer, hold off on installing it until you goto a salvage yard to get a 4.0L throttle body.

Clean it up,and start taking your old one off.  Switch out the sensors and whatnots from the old and new TB, as the 4.0L's stuff will mess with the 2.0L's computer.

A salvaged 4.0L TB out of the appropriate year Wrangler (some Cherokees too) should only run about 30 bucks.

I picked up a TB from a '97 Cherokee for $30, and it runs like a champ.

I'm in the orlando area also  :wink:    Their are a few things you could do. A 4.0L TB, header and exaust (you dont have to run a cat since we do live in florida). will give you some gains. What size tires are you on that you can't get to 65mph or above? I'm on 31s and with the 4.0TB, pacesetter header (not exactly the best lol), and an intake i can cruise at 70mph no problems. If you really want to have some more balls for the highway, once i finally get around to doing the turbo set-up to my jeep, if everything works good... I can probably do the set-up to your jeep also :)
