I am only using 2 of the 3 spaces I have for switches on my TJ (rear wiper and rear defrost).  I just took the assembly out and drilled a hole in the blank one in position 3 for the hi-lites.  Had a hard time getting the wiring to reach that far though...across tot he battery...across the front to the firewall hole...back across to the middle for the switch.
2009 Audi S5....what....its 4wd...sort of....

Mine began life as a hardtop, so I took out the factoty swtch panel and milled myself a new one.
