Skyjacker or Rubicon Express for the Budget Boost?
« on: November 08, 2006, 09:50:06 PM »
Title says it all.  Obviously the 2" coil spring spacers are going to be nearly identical.. but how about the shocks?  Is one brand better than the other?  I've heard some bad things about skyjacker but they don't ness. have to be true.  Sooo back to the big question- Skyjacker or RE?

I went with a set of gas lift shocks for a 4-6" lift. Due to using stock coils, the spring rate is considered 'soft' in comparison to lift springs.

I went with the Skyjacker, and the Nitro shocks.  I would recommend going with the Hydro's though.  Mine seem a little stiff, but that may just be me.  As sad as it is to say, I looked at the RE, along with Pro Comp, and went with the Skyjacker, because they were red, and so is my Jeep.  I also had to add new disconnects because the stock ones were broke, and Skyjacker had them cheaper than anyone else, so I went with a package sort of deal.  I bought it all from Summit.

Yeah I'm still running stock suspension at almost 98k so im sure any sort of upgrade is going to feel a lil stiff.  thx for the info guys.
