I figure when I do a tire upgrade (31s-33s; but, will be a while), I'll probably pick some used Jeep alloys from a YJ or TJ Wrangler or from a Grand Cherokee with the right pattern.
As far as brakes, you can get a big performance upgrade by just going with steel lines, better front rotors and upgraded replacement pads/shoes, & DOT4 synth fluid all around. I use EBC rotors & pads and steel lines, synth fluid and the brake performance on my no-lift Wrangler YJ (decent Bridgestone revo tires - a fairly "street" AT tire - don't hurt braking either) is sports-car good. This brake setup feels like it would probably work ok with 31s to maybe 33s with only a fractional loss in stopping performance.
