Tail light question??
« on: December 27, 2006, 07:33:33 PM »
My tail light in my 88 wrangler has me quite confused. Since I don't really know much about wiring then it doesn't take much. Either way my passenger side blinker works, brake light works, but running light doesn't work. Obviously it isn't the bulb because the same bulb is used for all the above mentioned. Any help would be appreciated.

it may be the same bulb but there are three different wires (not including the ground)...pull  the light and make sure all of them are still connected/in good condition.

It's an 1157 bulb...  Dual filament....  start buy checking the obvious, the brake light and blinker are the same filament in the bulb, while the running lights are on a different filament (within the same bulb).

I hope it's that easy.

Bulbs are always packaged as a pair...  Replace them both and save the one good one (from the drivers side) as a spare.

Blinker Fluid

Are you blinkers sluggish? Do they make an annoying ticking noise? Do they not flash fast enough? Here's your solution. Little do people know, factory quality blinker fluid should be changed every 150,000 blinks. Our blinker fluid lasts ten times that. KaleCoAuto high quality synthetic blinker fluid meets the highest DOT standards while not being in the least bit DOT legal! KaleCoAuto blinker fluid provides you with thousands of hours of reliable blinking without the wear and tear on the flash-synchro's that the other blinker fluids cause. KaleCoAuto blinker fluid will not lose its viscosity even in the most extreme situations. Why buy that old dino-blinker fluid, when you can get our unique patented synthetic formula? Satisfaction guaranteed!! For use in any car.
