Got a ? about a tapping sound in my 2.4L

Anybody have any problems with a slight tapping in the top end of there 2.4L motor. When i start mine up first thing while the motor is cold, the motor has this lifter type tapping sound when i tap the fuel peddle, but goes away after the motor worms up. The motor only has 24,000 miles on it. After the motor worms up, its nice and tight with no problems. (Please Advise)  :shock:

What town do you live in? If your close to me I could stop by and listen to it.... Mine dose it very lightly when its real cold out tell the oil gets warmed up.... but if its louder it could be something more.

Im from the SW PA erea, yeah mine does it lightly aswell. Its ready for its 3000 mile survice, so ill bring it up then. Just thought idd throw it out there.  :idea:

they cannot be adjusted, because they are hydraulic lifters, it is a normal sound.
