93' 2.5 EFI performance upgrades
« on: December 25, 2007, 04:21:51 PM »
You all know that - 2.5 jeep is like spaceship at quoter :) It's from "eat my dust" secret clan :) Ok, now i just need to open the "way to power" and install some iron and plastic stuff to make my winner .
My plan is:
4.0 tr body
Spacer
Full stream cold air intake kit
Borla exhaust...
What i can do more ?
(no, dont tell me about turbos or supercharger - it's too $$$)

P.S. FAQ almost all readed but still wanna some advise

Some are happy with a change to ford injectors ( there is a writeup on this in the workbench part of this forum). Proper gearing helps also, but with fuel as cheap as it is in Russia you could also consider a bigger engine. Large 6 cyl or v8 or a European or Japanese diesel would fit the bill.

I always think about 5.2/5.9 swap but it's hard to find good tranny. AX-15 I think not so good. Or i'm wrong? I have AX-15 offer but still doubt, and i have one more reason to leave swap for late times - less money. Used 5.2 from junked GrCh ZJ coast about 1500$ here + rebuilding parts about 2000-3000$... too much for me - i'm just a columnist in off-road magazine.

What Ford exactly? I see in local store injectors from 96 Bronco 351W, 90 Lincoln TC 302, 94 Lincoln TC 4.6, 93 T-Bird aero 3.8 LX... They (store) don't show any info about this injectors just car related. What good for me? I found info here - my choice is "#19 yellow". What Ford model use #19? 5.0 Stang? What year?

Hi Dimitri this link should give you part numbers and a physical ID of different injectors. With that you can hunt around on E bay or in your suroundings for what you need. Happy hunting

thanks for link, but i saw this before i ask... Sorry, but part numbers useless for me - i need car related info only for local shopping. E-Bay is good place but my plastic cards do not accepted by paypal and another payment systems (thanks for paypal and systems like that, which did not like russian banks, damn it)... If anyone know where to "convert partnumber to car name and year" please tell me.

I have about $300 wrapped up in my turbo set-up. It really just takes a little fabrication ability.
