Good experience with lock-right in D30...
« on: March 04, 2007, 09:39:20 PM »
Copy of a review I posted in another jeep forum, but thought someone here might like to see it.

I read, and read info, reviews, and advice on the Lock-Right before going ahead with it (in front).

My original concerns were how the lock right would perform on the front of a DD TJ. Well, I only had time to drive it 30-40 miles after the install today, but from the experience so far (on blacktop), the lock right seems virtually invisible in 2WD. I only engaged 4WD enough to torque it into locking, which seems to work very well. While driving, I heard a very subtle clicking once or twice while steering was maxed (turning around in a tight circle) and I was trying to make some noise, but no difference with regular driving....none. Regular 90 degree turns, starts and stops, no noise or handling quirks. The few times I did hear something, it was for maybe 1 second or less and it was very faint.

I know this is a very initial report, Ill know more when I can work it more off-road, but as of right now Im very pleased with the outcome.

Thanks for the help and info...

A buddy of mine had one in Ranger and never had any problems with it, sounds like most people like them..
