Rusted Rotor Tips
« on: April 26, 2007, 11:40:57 AM »
Hey guys,

I'm certain some of your have delt with some stubborn front rotors in the past. I'm about to dive into my first front brake job on my Jeep, and I'd like to know if you have any tips on getting these bad boys off without having to swing a hammer like crazy. I live in salty Canada, so I'm expecting some nice rust buildup.

Thanks!

Did a few searches...and I have a question for those that have done it before. Would this technique work:

Basically, run a bolt though the caliper holders, and force the rotor off that way. Any idea if it would line up on a TJ?
