I am a maintenance guy at a company that makes wheel motors (hydrostatic transmissions) for John Deere, Gehl, CAT, etc. The fluid they are tested and shipped with is Mobil DTE 25 so whatever they use must be an approved equivalent or they would lose warranty from us. These wheel motors are typically run at 80 BAR (1100ish PSI) at 170F for great lengths. The DTE 25 from my experience is great under extreme service and I can absolutely see how this would help in some ways. I don't know how it would react with the clutch materials though. I think I'd still be leary in using it in my own transmission.
