Early morning drive train vibration

OK, this one I have had from since I got the Jeep (before the SYE Kit was isntalled), but I figure I'd ask anyway.

Each morning, when I start driving the car in gear, there is a very noticeable vibration from the drive shaft as I put it in reverse or as I come out of first gear.  The odd thing is that it only happens until the Jeep is warmed up (after about half a mile from home, it stops, and it only happens after the Jeep has been sitting around all night).  Any clues on what it could be, or is this kind of thing normal?

Does it do this if you let the engine heat up to normal operating temp before you put it into any gear? If it does it when you let it warm up before driving it, then I'd say it's a problem between the trans to the rear end. Otherwise... I'm stumped.  :confused: Are you sure it's coming from the drive shaft?

And on a secondary note... It's a JEEP... not a car. lol  :stick:

Totally missed the "car" one...  Sorry! (this apology is to my Jeep, not to you guys; last time I called the Jeep a car it started acting up on me until I apologized to it!)

Anyway, I honestly dont know, as I ussually dont let the JEEP warm up in the morning (I'm ussually late for work as it is! LOL), but I'll give it a shot (probably on the weekend, though!).

I wouldn't want to know what my TJ would have in store for me if I called it a "car."  ::)

I'll Explain.

It's a JEEP  AND they Viberate a Little. Why do you think girls Like them so much.




Jfrabat   you could  have oil on your clutch plates. When you first start to roll and the plates first start to grab they can slips & grab becuase of the oil.  Do you know the condition of your pressure plate & disc?.

Nope, no idea...  I bought this Jeep about a year ago, but have not gotten around to changing or inspecting the clutch.  But sometimes it does get hard to go into 1st from a stand still (I ussually go around this by going into third before I go into first), so it may be the clutch acting up.
