New Brakes
« on: November 02, 2007, 05:59:50 AM »
I had the rear brakes done on Wednesday. They replaced both drums, all new pads, two new wheel cylinders and one of the lines because it was in bad shape. A few hours after I get it back I'm driving it and hear a squeal coming from one of them... possibly both. Today it's going back in so they can look at it and get it fixed for us. Between my t.v. problems and now the brakes... I'm going nuts with things not working properly.  :brick:

Did you have to do any high speed stops?  New shoes are pretty easy to glaze up if you don't break them in properly.

Nope, no high speed stops. The shop is about 5 blocks from my house. I got in it and drove it home at a normal pace. I took it back this morning to have it looked at. I just got off the phone with the mechanic and he said one of the new drums they put on had a problem. I'm thinking something just wasn't adjusted correctly. I'm going to take a walk over shortly to pick it up. Hopefully it's dome right this time.
