I Read a thread here and chased the link, bought the #45046 Sport Shifter for 127.88 from this seller.

Install was a breeze. Wished I would of Measure the Stock throw length. I measure the throw after and its 3.5" long. Gears seam to just fall in place with little to no effort. Great mod for AX5. It gets 5 stars. :D
Cost played a major role, Hurst was lot more money.
Quality was High. No Knob.
This is for stock Tranny Tranfer case combo.
Only issuse I had was the suppled bolts where little to Short.
8mm x 45mm So i end up with 8mm x 60mm long. So i had the full contact of all the threads in the shifter housing. I cleaned it with solvent than blow dried it with compressed air. With trip to hardware store appox install time was 2 hour.
Only special tool was a Pickle fork ( tie rod seperater tool) to remove the stock locking cup off the stock shifter. Shift throw is 3.5 inch measured.
Stock is about 5.5 inch Over all feel seam positive engagement of all gears with not much effort. if you need more info just ask.
